Never/Always

I never thought you would forget the name of the man who paralyzed your son.

I never thought you would forget how to turn on a computer.

I never thought you would forget if you ate anything all day long.

I never thought you would forget how to tie your shoes.

I never thought you wouldn’t recognize my voice on the phone.

I never thought you would look at me and believe you were talking to your sister.

I never thought you would flinch in fear of me.

I never thought you would forget how to write.

I never thought you would forget how to brush your teeth.

I never thought you would forget your own name.

I never thought you would forget my name.

I never thought you would forget me.

I always knew you would protect me.

I always knew you would be my biggest cheerleader.

I always knew you would teach me.

I always knew you would wipe my tears away.

I always knew you would push me to be better.

I always knew you would do anything to fix my problems.

I always knew you would tell me you were proud of me.

I always knew you would have a smile on your face when I saw you.

I always knew you loved me.

I always knew you would make me laugh and smile.

I always knew that I wanted to be at your side when you took your last breath.

I always knew losing you would break my heart.

I always knew that being your daughter was an honor.

I always knew that loving you was such a privilege.

I always knew that being loved by you was such a gift from God.
